The Pierce County Sheriff’s Office Human Resources Division is tasked with the recruitment of qualified applicants, the processing of those applicants, and maintaining the myriad of files and paperwork associated with every sworn, civilian, and volunteer employee of the agency.

The division also works closely with P.O.S.T. to ensure that all of the agency’s sworn employees remain current on the state-required training necessary to maintain their sworn status.

During a typical year Human Resources processes virtually hundreds of applications for employment, selects the most qualified of those applicants, and coordinates the painstaking selection process that insures that the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office is staffed by the best possible personnel to serve the citizens of Pierce County.
